Colors soared through the sky like birds as sunset drew near. A stream flowed lazily through the center of a large meadow filled with beautiful flowers of all shapes, sizes and colors. Bright blue eyes trained on the slow water as the colors danced around a young teenage girl with soft, long, black hair. A smile played across the girl's lips and she focused on the water. Concentration grasped her as she watched the water weaving up from the stream and moving slowly toward her. Suddenly a bird shot past and a laugh erupted from the girl as the water splashed into her face.
This was one of Sorrel's powers. Depending on her mood she could have certain powers including an element that suited that mood best. Sorrel was a very playful girl of course. She loved to laugh and play, especially with water. Rising to her feet Sorrel walked along beside the river, watching the water until she came across a still pool. She smiled stopped beside it, looking down at the unstirred water. With a deep breath she dived into the pool and disappeared below the surface.

Watching from a distance Stansa saw the beautiful girl dive into the water. I wonder who she is, she thought. A soft breeze grazed her check....as there was no wind, Stansa new it was one of her butterfly's teasing her. Swooping past with wings of silk, so fast that she could not see them. Laughing, Stansa moved closer to the waters edge, where had that girl gone?

Sorrel's head broke the surface and she sucked in a breath and took in her surroundings. A girl stood at the edge of a pool with butterflies flying around her. Taking in another deep breath she dove under once more and swam toward the edge as if she was an otter and swimming was just an everyday task. Soon she popped up right by the grass verge and smiled up at the girl. Pet butterflies? I never thought of that... she thought. Her eyes lit up as an idea struck her and she concentrated on the water around her. It came up and enclosed around her in the shape of a house, she peered out through a little window she'd made and laughed sweetly. Wanna play? she asked, glad she had a chance to show off her powers.
Now I have a chance to use my telepathy she thought. Focusing on the girl's thoughts she smiled. I'm Sorrel, by the way she thought, sending the thought to her as if she'd spoken it aloud. Yes, she'd heard The girl's thought perfectly, which was a pretty obvious thing. Blinking she allowed the water to fall down around her before she focused again, making it rear up on either side of her and turn into to rearing horses that guarded her to the left and right.

Stansa watched in amazement as the water rose up, seeming to in encase the girl in it's icy depths. The butterfly's danced around her, their fairy like whispers almost laughing at her surprised face. A voice in her head was talking, not a menacing sound, but one of fun and humor. The girl before her was called Sorrel. Suddendly the water parted into to looming horses made from the cool, blue water. "Wanna play" the voice asked her. Play.....Stansa flicked her blonde hair and with a soft exhale raised her arms out to her side, matching the glorious blue of her butterfly's and gracefully she soared up into the cloudless sky, her dress floating around her. Her flight was not fast, just one of pure happiness. At last she had found someone who had a gift, not like her own, but a gift all the same. Maybe she wasn't alone after all. Maybe she would not have to continue to live her life hidden, veiled in secrets from her school friends at boarding school? School! Oh no she thought, I have to get back! Instead of returning to Sorrel, as she most desperately wanted, she instead turned her head, now filled with misery and darkness, and turned in the direction of her boarding school. If only she could find a way to leave....

Sorrel let the water fall as the girl turned, seeming to have to leave. Boarding school? she thought, she'd never want to go to a place like that. Quickly she clambered out of the pool, almost instantly dry and raced up to her. Would you like me to come with you? she asked sweetly, wondering what a school would be like. Sorrel herself had never even seen a school. Her mother had abandoned her at the age of five, so she never went to one. (Sorry, can't think of much. Muse is low now...)

A sense of mischief overtook Stansa as she giggled and held her hand out to Sorrel..."Where do you live? I don't want to go back to school-I hate it!". Then she thought of her beloved mare back at school and her heart leapt, she could never leave her. " Come with me Sorrel? I'll sneak you in....They'll never know, you can see my mare. Holding hands the two girls rose majestically from the ground and swooping like eagles raced towards Stansa's school.

(Sorry, forgot to show you the rules. I'll pass by your power-playing for now, but I'll explain it to you. You said; Holding hands to two girls rose majestically from the ground and swooping like eagles raced towards Stansa's school. That part was power-playing. You see, power-playing is where you control someone else's character without letting them react. Like say in my other game this is an example of power-playing; Ravenpaw leapt at Valefrost, claws outstretched. She landed squarely on his shoulders and he fell to the ground below her. A better thing to put would be; Ravenpaw leapt at Valefrost, claws outstretched aiming to land on his shoulders. I shall react differently and pretend you didn't power-play)
Sorrel smiled as mischief seemed to overtake her friend. I live here, and occasionally visit town for food she explained, listening to Stansa's words about hating school. School doesn't sound very fun she observed lightly, what is it? Sorrel tilted her head, she'd never seen a mare, only heard of it once before. Is a mare some type of horse? she asked, not minding the idea of being sneaked into a place she wasn't allowed to go to. As Stansa took her hand and flew into the air Sorrel pulled away, as she fell letting her force-field fall into place around her. I don't do flying she told her, backing away a couple of steps, her friendly mood now turned to security. No, she wasn't afraid of flying, she just felt insecure while flying. Her force-field came when she was scared or insecure or when there's a chance something might hurt her, like falling from the sky for instance.

(Oh, okay, I see- I should have said something along the line of, I held out my hand intending to swoop into the air taking Sorrel with me. I started to rise above the ground planning to head straight to school. Is that better?)

Leaving Sorrel behind I decided to get straight back to school. The holidays were starting soon, thank goodness. With no family to return home to Stansa usually stayed at school. This year, however, she decided to take her mare and head back to Sorrel and learn more about her new friend and the unusual powers that she appeared to have. Bliss, 6 weeks of freedom stretched before her. The wind rushed past and soon the tall iron gates of West Hampton School for girls appeared before her. Landing softly, her gentle butterfly's fluttered around brushing against her hair and cool cheeks. " Sorry, my sweet ones, I must leave you for awhile, be safe". Quickly Stansa ducked through the gates with the intention of heading to her doom, packing quickly and heading straight to the stable to collect her most precious horse.
Luckily no one was about to question her or get in the way. Gathering as much as she could into a canvas backpack, Stansa headed straight to the stable.

(Yeah, I'll link you to the rules, your spamming by posting more than once. Just do what I'm doing right now by including OOC text in the post, just in brackets. If you need to add something to your post, there should be a modify button in the top right-hand corner of your post)
Sorrel blinked, all of a sudden in a hurry to keep up as her friend left without her. Her force-field disappeared and her hurry made her gain super-speed instead. Quickly she raced after her friend, keeping in line with her the whole time she stopped at iron gates. Suddenly weary her super-speed disappeared, renewed with the sudden sense of secretiveness and wariness her speed was replaced with invisibility and she ducked through the gates and followed her friend all the way to the stable. As soon as she reached Stansa she walked up to her and whispered. Even if I can't fly, my Empathic Powers give me the ability to do whatever my emotions let me do she explained, remembering something she added. That's how I'm invisible right now, because I feel like I shouldn't be seen. (Almost forgot, here are the rules. Link [/color]

Stansa wheeled around, her heart racing. Sorrel was invisible! " Sorry, I left you behind Sorrel, I was upset that you didn't want to fly with me, I should have asked you first. It must be fun to be able to go so fast!". Stansa clicked softly to her mare in a series of bird like tunes and the mare turned to her nickering and nuzzling her." Shall we go on an adventure?" she asked her mare in their secret language. The mares eyes lite up with the idea of an adventure. Much more fun than staying in this stable all day. "I sense that you have a friend here Stansa, will you introduce us?" Stansa laughed and rubbed the mares neck affectionately.

Sorrel smiled. Are there any other horses here? I love horses, I've ridden before too she said excitedly, remembering to keep her voice at a whisper. She wasn't invisible now. The only thing of her that could be seen in the shadows were her eyes, but she could always turn away or close them if someone came. Back in a sec she whispered before walking along the isle, looking into each stall until she came across a black, Arabian mare. Perfect she thought to herself. Opening the stall door she slunk through the gap and ran her hand along the mare's neck. A smile lit her face as the mare nuzzled into her. I'm going to ride you now she told the mare, glad she had some way of communicating with her, and it seemed telepathy was that one way. Aren't you going to tack me up? Or should just keep close to you? I can bow to let you on! Sorrel listened to the mare's thoughts with a smile and simply nodded. Pushing the door wider she walked out of the stall. The mare followed her closely and Sorrel led her toward Stansa and her mare. Should we go back to the waterfall? she whispered to Stansa. With a nod to the mare she bowed down and Sorrel climbed aboard, letting the mare straighten. The mare was a good hight, maybe 15.3hh, around there. Stansa looked down at her friend and waited.

Stansa, watched as Sorrel wandered off towards the other stables, stopping in front of the arab mare. What would Sorrel do she wondered. Her own horse nudged her. "Come on Stansa, let go!" Stansa laughed, her mare was so bossy! "Hold on girl, wait for Sorrel". Stamping a hoof the mare gave her another nudge. "I don't want to wait, she can catch up..then maybe you can introduce us properly once I can see her. She can talk to me using telepathy". Stansa frowned, sorry my lovely girl, I promise that we shall have formal introductions, in fact I don't know anything about Sorrel myself". Her horses soft brown eyes looked at her. "Don't worry, just make sure you have everything in your backpack, shall I have my saddle? I'd rather not-bareback is much more fun!". Smiling Stansa agreed. Heaving her back pack onto her slim shoulders and sweaping her blonde hair into a pony tail Stansa vaulted quickly onto her mares back. With a click of her tongue they headed down the breeze way towards the end of the stable building. As they reached the opening thousands of butterfly's rushed to meet them. Fluttering round excitedly. Snorting, the mare pranced on the spot, pretending to be frightened. It wasn't until the gentle feathered creatures had settled themselves all around her face like a bridle did she settle.

Sorrel Smiled and patted the mare on the neck before setting off at a trot until she caught up with her friend. Smiling she pulled up beside her, matching her mare's pace with the Stansa's. Back to the waterfall? she repeated questioningly, flicking her long black hair over her shoulder. With a smile she added, decision time's up, waterfall it is! Race you there! With that her mare broke into a gallop and they raced toward the water. Sorrel's hair flew back behind her, the wind whistling in her ears as pure freedom lit her soul. I wish my sister could feel as free as I do she thought, remembering the sister of which she had used her time manipulation powers to make disappear. I hope you don't mind my cheating... Sorrel told Stansa, glad of her telepathy. Speaking of time manipulation... she thought. With that she halted the mare and closed her eyes. When she opened them she stood at the edge of the pool she had swam in before.
