This is the plot behind ATDD. There will be others, but this is the main idea. So you must read this and you should get things pretty smoothly.
Monsters, fairy tales, powers, myths, most believed they were just the active imagination of children, but they exist. Some places have these strange occurrences, but they were believed to be a hokes and nothing more. People never looked to the shadows, or watched people. They exist, however they are monitored carefully, believing that they are dangerous. Unlike the stories past down and the minds of children, not all are evil, including monsters. The problem is the misunderstanding, as the population of these bazaar people expanded, the origin was unknown for years. Until a Spanish Explorer, Mark Naomia, who was named after his English grandfather, discovered the secret. Mt. Misterio, was believed to be the main source or the creatures.
However little was known, there were other places where monsters rain, where fairy tales were real, where myth were fact and power existed. Years later, when t became modern times, creatures and people like this were known, however to this day were carefully monitored by the GCMR, other wise known as The Gifted Creature Monitor and Retrieval. There job is to monitor all of the gifted, and if needed retrieve and kill if one becomes hostile. There are the criminals, but no one knows which side to be on, which is bad or good. Some even ask. Are all of these creature bad? A question that is believed will never be answered. Some can answer, but others can't. At this moment, it is who can trust who?
