"I don't want the-" Nicholas could feel his anger rising. Why were people so dense? Nicholas paused amid his sentence, then exhaled a deep breath. "Never mind. Here. Thank you." he finished tersely, offering a five dollar bill to the teenager behind the counter. He received fifty-seven cents and two shakes in return. The 'have a nice day' that the teen offered out of necessity was met with a grumble of ascension.
Now that he was conned into paying for and taking the shake he certainly had not ordered, the question was, what to do with it? Sure, he could eat it himself, but what eighteen year old guy needed a strawberry shake in addition to his chocolate shake? He didn't even like strawberry that much, and the odds of it getting melty before he ate it-- needless to say, he needed a solution. His gaze traveled through the food court, sizing up the occupants. Not that it mattered much. Nicholas shuffled to the table directly in front of him, rather than picking out his strawberry shake recipient with care. He unceremoniously extended his hand with the shake clutched within it to the lone occupant of the seat on the opposite side of the table.
"Please tell me you like strawberry." Nicholas' expression was calm but clearly quizzical. Presently, he was dressed in a pair of black dress slacks with a navy blue blazer, and beneath that, he wore a clearly pressed dress shirt. By all accounts he looked like a private school student adorned in the uniform-esque attire. Even his shoes gleamed under the mall's artificial lights, bearing witness to the polish he'd applied that morning.

Cindy walked into the food court and sat down, she didn't really want anything at the moment. The table she sat at was surprisingly empty, and everyone that walked past stared at her. She sighed and flicked her tail, letting out a laugh as someone that was too busy glaring at her tripped over it. With a flick of her ears she caught a voice and saw someone sit at her table. "Please tell me you like strawberry" said the boy who sat before her as he stretched out his hand to offer her a shake. She smiled and took it from him, I've never tried it before, but thank you she answered politely, taking a curious sip of the shake. Looking at him she guessed he was a normal human, unlike her who was a fox hybrid.
Remembering the person who had tripped over her tail she pulled it out of the way and looked down at them with quizzical eyes as they stood, glared at her once more and walked away. She laughed as they disappeared, still fuming. I don't think many people are all too fond of me she observed as more people stopped to stare at her as if she was full fox and belonged only in the forest.
Turning back to face him she smiled. Anyway, I'm Cinder. Its very nice to meet you she greeted gently before adding, you can call me Cindy, if you want. She wasn't very good with greetings, she was more the playful, mischievous, curious type rather than the polite, well-mannered, welcoming type.
